Description
This kit has everything you need to raise these marvelous creatures minus the net cage (with the option of adding the cage if you do not already have one). Our easy-to-follow instructions make it simple to experience their metamorphosis from pupa to butterfly.
The Monarch Butterfly is the most recognized and beloved butterfly in all of North America, however, has had some of the greatest population declines making these kits extremely important. There is a very limited supply each season, so we encourage you to order as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment.
These kits are designed for every environment, whether at home, school, retirement home, community center, or otherwise. The kits also make incredible gifts for burgeoning enthusiasts, teaching lessons about life-cycles, transformation, and growth…often a child’s first experience nurturing the development of a wild creature in a time where there is more focus on screens rather than what’s all around us.
We begin shipping these kits from late August until September each year, weather and season permitting.

In light of recent regulatory modifications, there is a possibility that we may be unable to provide monarchs due to changes in the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act, 1997, S.O. 1997, c. 41 (ontario.ca). We are actively engaged in the permit application process, and should we receive approval, we will fulfill your order with monarchs as requested. However, in the event that we are unable to procure monarchs, we are committed to offering an alternative option. In such cases, we will provide the painted lady butterfly for release, ensuring that the substitution holds the same value as the originally requested monarchs. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
