Raising painted ladies butterflies was super cool! We watched tiny caterpillars turn into colorful butterflies, which was awesome and taught us a lot about how bugs grow and change.

I really like how you can order caterpillars individually or in cups of 5. You can then add as many as you like, with the option of adding net cages, extra instructions, brushes etc. That is really nice because you can order exactly what you need unlike other butterfly farms/companies/services. When the kit shipped it arrived quickly and setup to raise and releasing was really easy.

They always responded to my emails promptly and were helpful and informative. The kit was really easy to setup and it was mostly just observing watching the caterpillars grow into butterflies with only having to clean their poop, hang them for hatching and then release them.

I got this for a friend who had a loss recently and figured to get them a gift card as I was unsure if they wanted a butterfly kit or wanted to get butterflies for release. I later learned that I could have gone on the any of their product page and selected that particular product and purchased it as a gift. This would have made it easier for my friend since they are already going through a lot and I butterfly for release may have been the better option. Either way it worked out. I used their services over the past few years with a positive experience. I havent found a single website that offers their services with so much information, guides and posts. Highly recommend them!

I worked on a project with my grandchildren where we made a cage at home, it was great but we needed something better. So I bought a small butterfly cage with netting from this store/website. It came folded up, but when I opened it, it was large and exactly what we needed. It's great for releasing butterflies because it keeps away predators and bugs. I also like that it folds up small for storage and is easy to clean for reusing.
