Planting Instructions for Milkweed Seeds

Congratulations on your milkweed seed packet! Each packet contains 30 to 50
common milkweed seeds (Asclepias Syriaca) that are ready to be planted.

Did you know milkweed is the only source of food for monarch caterpillars and
is also their host plant? Please plant these seeds and share them with your
community.

Planting instructions:
Milkweed seeds can be planted directly in soil, or started indoors. You can sow
milkweed seeds by scattering them on the soil surface 1/4-1/2 inch apart, and
then covering them with about 1/4 inch of additional soil. Water the area
frequently (ensuring the soil is always moist) after planting until plants become
established.

These seeds are meant to be planted in the spring or summer after the danger
of frost has passed. If planted in the fall, they will grow the following spring.
